BIOGRAPHY

Marilee founded Integrity in Practice in order to guide dental practices to high levels of success through exceptional patient care and improved team communications. She has a passion for bringing positive change to the dental field in ways that benefit both practice and patient. In addition to consulting, Marilee is a practicing hygienist, speaker and author.

Marilee began her dental career 16 years ago as a dental assistant. Intrigued by the role of the dental hygienist regarding patient education and behavior modification, she decided to further her education by becoming a hygienist. She attended the dental hygiene program at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon and graduated at the top of her class, earning her induction into Sigma Phi Alpha.

As a hygienist, Marilee has worked with general and specialty dental practices to improve patient care and has remained focused on delivering patient education to promote the field of dentistry. Her commitment to patient communication and early treatment of periodontal disease has led to increased hygiene production at each office she has worked with, and established Marilee as a leader in the field of dental hygiene.

Marilee has dental hygiene licenses in Oregon, Washington, North Carolina, and Virginia and is a member of ADHA and WSDHA. In addition to traditional hygiene, Marilee is a licensed restorative hygienist and enjoys utilizing the expanded functions available to hygienists in her home state of Washington.

Marilee currently lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband, Kent, and two young sons, Luke and Jack. She enjoys watching "The Office", playing Scrabble, and taking her boys to the park when it isn’t raining.
